Create an ITIS button

Content providers and publishers who currently link arbritrary names to ITIS records via name-search can link to ITIS with much more precision with an "ITIS button". LinkIT parameters can be URL-encoded and wrapped inside Javascript, perl, PHP, or HTML and linked to an image that can be placed on a page to allow users to selectively activate links to ITIS records via TSN, not less precise name searches that, when improperly applied, often return a negative result from ITIS. The example button in this box dynamically links a display of fish images and collection records to ITIS records in realtime. A link can also simply be embedded as a text link to such as this ISTA List of Stablized Plant Names that links to ITIS and adds ITIS English vernacular names.
